In addition to what we all know about sugar, that it leads to obesity, it also has a major hand in a lot of other things including cancer, Alzheimer's Disease, other mental fog, heart disease, type II diabetes, macular degeneration, cataracts, and even man boobs. You would be better off adding more vegetables and some meat.
My goodness you're a moron. Sugar is an essential nutrient. Without it life could not exist.
Humans can survive consuming very little sugar. I would not call it the healthiest thing in the world, but it is possible. In nutrition terms "essential" has a definition that means the body cannot make it.
