Paula Radcliffe Angered by New Boston Marathon Transgender Policy

Liberals are like spoiled children. They complain about everything in life being unfair. They have no morals and want instant gratification. They only see the issue directly in front of them. This issue will make 2 significant turns. Liberals are supportive of men competing in women's sports as long as they claim to be doing it for the right reasons. Within a few years, rules will be eased to allow men to earn scholarships and earn money that was previoulsy reserved for women. As soon as they perceive that real men, who are doing it for the wrong reasons, have completely taken over women's sports, they will immediately demand a real women's category which puts us back to where the logical people are today.

ah why should there be women's sports? If you think because a group of humans has a disadvantage because of their body then we also should have a category for small men in basketball and for many other different cases. But if we dont do that we should just go with the only fair situation of equal opportunities. Value performances independently from gender or race

That wouldn’t work. Men have an overwhelming innate physical advantage over women. It wouldn’t be a fair competition.

Indeed, I would guess that in every state, it is far harder and takes far longer to change your government-recognized sex, than to do the extra training needed to take 30 minutes off of your marathon time.

This is probably true, but it does not change the fact that men will be taking away slots from women. This is inherently evident in that the men's times are more difficult to hit.

I would also argue that as this behavior becomes more main stream it will also become easier to change your identification for a myriad of reasons, sports competitiveness included.

Here's an easy example. I can show up to any random marathon with 10,000 runners. Register as a female. Because I'll jog 3:30 nobody will notice me. I won't even need to dress as a female. Just run as a normal male. Then submit my time for Boston and boom I'm in.

100% agree. Did you see the world XC championship? I didn't see too many Caucasians in the top 15 did I? Anyway, the thinking that women are inferior to men in sports and therefore should be segregated is antiquated. Look at Courtney Dauwater for example. She won the Moab 240 a couple of years ago (amongst other ultras). She beat the first man by 1 or 2 hours (if not more). So the winner of the Moab 240 was a woman even though only 20% of the participants were women. No, women are not inferior in "sports", just like white guys are not inferior in "sports". White men don't do well in XC, they don't do well in sprints, they don't do well in basketball... But we don't give them their own inferior category. Yes, women, just like white men, will never win the world XC championship, but they can win some sporting events and participate in all events (just like white men do). Let's do away with this old thinking.

It would be brave of Rojo and Wejo to actually discuss this issue publicly with trans people who want to talk about this topic intellectually.

So what happens if a 2.12-13 marathon runner (who we have to ascertain is biologically a male for obvious reasons), simply decides one day to identify as female? No sex change, nothing - just decides that they have had enough of being an end-of-pack elite male runner and wants to become the female WR holder, Olympic Champion, win any major they want in a cake-walk and make a f$$$ing fortune doing so?

Honestly what happens then? I mean in some way we are all holding on to the notion this could never ever possibly happen - but it's similar to the reality that at one point in time it would have been preposterous to suggest anyone would cheat to win at sports by injecting themselves with a synthetically generated substance. How did that work out for us?

As a now idiotically over-the-top society we are simply overlooking this distinct possibility and for what - in the pursuit of "social justice and self-righteousness?"

When the floodgates open, and they will, what social justice will there be with the end of female sport as we know it?

I don't necessarily like Paul Radcliffe for a number of reason but good on here for speaking out here. That takes courage in the worlds current social climate.

They have to be on hormones in order to collect prize money and probably for their record to stand.
