All you twink never-beens. Feel free to criticize at will--as long as you link to your official results where you ran a marathon faster than Sage's time.
Toodles.

list out your marathon pb when you criticize, and then all of your other marathon times if you've ever been a few minutes off your goal time or bonked hard in a race

Solid result for Sage. Glad to see he is still gunning for that OTQ and came through halfway exactly on pace. Hopefully he takes another shot at CIM in December (or even somewhere sooner).
My Spring goal is now 2:23:09 so I can stake my claim as the fastest registered/regular LRCer of 2019.
Please correct me if a registered/regular poster has run faster than this so I can adjust accordingly. If someone has gone under 2:20, don’t tell me so I can continue to live in my beautiful land of delusional grandeur.

I tried to break 3 and only managed 3:05.
I was not impressed.

Ahh the old you can't criticize unless you've run faster BS. 1) sage is trying to sell himself as an expert runner and coach, if he contantly underperforms than that's a red flag ; 2) he and his worshippers keep building himself up as the next great thing in marathon running and he can't event get the OTQ.
By your logic no American could ever criticize Rupp, but I'm guessing you are okay with that.

When has Sage ever built himself up as "the next great thing in marathon running"? He posts often stating he is a MUT guy, not a marathon runner. He's humble (maybe too humble) and I've never read anything where he said he was great. Sage knows he is not a 2:05 guy, not an Olympian, and not a World Champion. He's just trying to make a living doing what he loves to do -- run trails. I'd love to do what he's doing but I'm not nearly talented enough.
And his coaching -- what do his performances have to do with his coaching? How many NBA coaches were all-stars? I'd be willing to bet he's a fine coach.

We don´t care if Sage has done that. The guy above probably "felt" that Sage had done it and that it´s "his truth" that Sage has done it. If you say something contrary, then you´ve been guilty of a micro aggression.
Ummm....Ryan Hall could criticize Rupp, as could Khannouchi. But it's cool to see you have such a strong grasp on U.S. marathon history.
Sage triggers him. Kind of sad.
Isn’t the point of running to get faster and faster every year?
Sage, on the other hand, keeps getting slower and slower. He’ll be luckily to crack 2:30 in a couple years
Rupp ran slower in his last race than the previous one. Are we to believe by your logic that Rupp has therefore already run his fastest time and should just retire?
Only seven minutes off his PB....watching the vegan downslide is always fun in a schadenfreude-sort of way.
Sage is all talk and no action.
He should quit running at the mouth and focus on the running of the feet. Until he does that he will always be our sport's equivalent to Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
Sage will now go back to hide in the Ultra world where most people are impressed with a finishers medal and the slippery slope won’t be so obvious.
Sage has only qualified for the OT Marathon ONCE under the current sub 2:19 standard. This happened when training with Hansons. This eats at Sage knowing that he will never reach that level of fitness again.
Funny to watch.
You americans are really despicable towards your runners. No wonder you have no good marathon runners.

The first meat eater at Rotterdam ran 5:27.

If you want. Or you could use the more simple logic that Rupp is FINISHED and therefore has already ran his fastest time.

Only to the arrogant, Dunning-Kruger-infected, annoying ones. If Sage doesn't want to be criticized, he can leave the kitchen....opps, that kitchen is critical to his income...

In what way is Sage arrogant? I have never seen this.
