No way Huddle even breaks 2:22. She’s never run well at the distance.
3rd at NYC in her debut behind Keitany and Kipyego is running well at the distance, unless you're one of those simpletons who think the clock is all that matters.

In 2007, Ryan Hall ran 59:43 at Houston and 2:06:17 at London, a ratio of 2.1147.
Emily Sisson ran 67:30 at Houston. If we apply the same ratio as Hall in 2007, she'd run 2:22:45.

Sisson sub 2:21.
Yet wishing them both a breakthrough race.
FFS we've been through this, Huddle hasn't run on a fast course yet.

While American record is not likely in her debut, I can see her running 2:21:xx and this being a springboard into the trials etc.
US Womens marathon team 2020:
Huddle
Sisson
Hasay
Epic.
I mostly agree with the list but you are really really forgetting Amy Cragg. She ran a 2:21 in Tokyo. This race wasn't broadcasted a lot but damn giver some resepct. I think the team will be made between :
Huddle
Sisson
Hasay
Cragg
Its likely one of them will be injured etc. so then that makes 3. Sisson is a bit a dark horse because she has never done a Marathon. But with London approaching fast we will know rather soon.

So, time doesn't matter, and therefore... she's going to break 2:20 in London???
Sure it's quite remotly possible, but she hasn't shown any indication that she's anywhere close to doing that.

I was thinking this is possible, She ran a negative 15:40/15:09 split in her 10000, the first half in London will be VERY Fast, she may even pass the half better than her current Personal Best of 67:30, I think Kosgei wins in high 2:15-Low 2:16 (No World Record) Sisson will run 2:18-2:20 and I am hoping Huddle breaks 2:20 as well, Though 2:21-2:22 is more realistic for Huddle, Sisson is improving more than Huddle, will be a great race.
is this guy serious? Sisson to split 67min at halfway? can we get all of this posts deleted?

Isn't Kipyego an American citizen now? I thought her intent was to run for the U.S. in 2020, which throws a huge wrench into things for these other girls. That being said, I haven't seen a race result for her in ages, so maybe she's got injury issues.
Not yet. You cannot PR at 10,000 on the track and 6 weeks later set AR in marathon. Too much hard running to close to the marathon. It would be great if she can get under 2:25.

Agree, if she goes out at half sub 68, I predict a DNF at 32k. I'll give her a conservative 224.

Aliphine Tuliamuk was recently naturalized as well, and is dipping her toes into the marathon at Rotterdam I believe

Explain how 6.2 miles of hard running is too much hard running 6 weeks before a marathon?

Sally ran 1:12:12 at the Houston half a few months ago. Not stellar by any means. She was supposedly contemplating running Boston
Has Emily confirmed that she is focusing on the marathon for 2020? Curious why she wouldn't consider the 10k after her last race. She's young enough that she doesn't need to convert to the marathon just yet.

If by "recently" you mean three years ago, which is why she ran in the 2016 track trials for the US, then yes.

When you’re 59 as I am, 2016 is recent.

I agree with this. She has no experience in the marathon, and hasn't even run one.
I said she might go out in 67 something, absolutely it is more reasonable to go out in 69-70, but she might be in no wheres land, Keitany I think went out in 67:16 last year and Bridged Kosgei and others will go with Keitany, If Sisson goes out in lets say 69:30 a 2:19.00 pace which is well below the current Record, she might be running by herself (Which is hard) I believe the Woman start like 45 minutes before the men, so she wont be able to pace off of men, and the Kenyans and Ethiopians tend to run with the lead even if it is too fast, so yes ideally go out in 69-70 and try to run a negative split, but that means running by herself in this case.
I predict Sisson will be 2:21:XX. Huddle will be close to that too... assuming weather's good and all.
2:25.
