It's physics that thicker cushioning raises your center of gravity, like an SUV and more likely to tip over.
The bottoms of the shoe are wider so you don't tip over like a sleeping cow. That's physics too.
Cows don’t tip. They sleep laying down. Cows can enter a light sleep while standing, but would wake up quickly if someone tried to tip them.

Chinese child labor. And who makes shoes go fast? Exactly. Put sandals on a 2:06 Kenyan and 4% vapor flys on a high school XC runner. Who will win?
I ran the following, over the course of 5 years:
1600: 4:28 (Tiger)
3000: 9:14 (Tiger)
3200: 9:54 (Adidas)
5000: 15:27 (Adidas)
10000: 32:56 (Adidas)
HM 1:17 (Nike)
Much of this time was when Nike had the Internationalist, Eagle, Mariah, American Eagle, Elite Classic, Terra T/C, and Vengeance.
NOT your, NOT you're, ITS ----- YOU ARE----- a chump and English is not even my first language..
Most my running is in Altra shoes.
5K- 14:34,
10K - 30:24
I think he just meant more prudent for comfortable/reliable/pain-free running. Stability is just thrown around interchangeably, not just meaning the prevention of medial pronation

you sponsored? and do you race in altras?
I'm not blazing fast but PRs of 4:01 and 3:43. I never trained in Nike. NB Vongo, Asics Dynaflyte, Hoka Clifton, Adidas Supernova/Solar line, and a variety of other randoms. Shoes are shoes. As long as they're reasonably comfortable and you're smart enough to rotate pairs occasionally, you can run as fast or as slow as your body allows (with the exception of 4%). That being said, they have the best spikes on the market in my opinion.

If I may ask. Why don't you run in nikes. Especially if you run for CU where they give your free pairs. (Sko Buffs BTW)
Used to be all Nike, but I’ve converted to Altras for about the last 6 years.
Zero drop might not work for everyone but it was worth transitioning over and the toe box on the Altras works great for my foot shape. Escalate Racers are perfect for me.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
