I want you to look at the case. If you think a DQ is warranted, you should write a letter to the L.A. marathon as you did in other cases. LRC has sway. Well, maybe not after calling their marathon minor league, but still.

I've looked at the case and I do think a DQ is warranted, but I don't think me writing a letter from Australia will have much effect. What were the other cases where I did?
It's an anonymous message board FFS, you wouldn't have a fooking clue who you're talking to, if anyone is bothered that much email them:

At least look at this case, LRC staff. You can even decide nothing amiss happened.
Protip: People aren't who their handle says they are. . . . more breaking news on the hour.
Ed Whitlock goes home DEVASTATED!
Seriously. Some of you need to get a hobby that doesn’t include stalking.

And you need to get a hobby that doesn't include stalking people who are concerned about cheating.

Yet here you are, making a comment on a thread that you took the time to read about and feel that your opinion of it is the gospel...it's not. Helpful Hint: Go back to your hobby jogging little fella. Obviously you are a 5 hour marathoner with no integrity or guts.

You do realize this thread was started in March, right? Cheating allegations were flying from the get go. Then in May it really took traction. So, the NCAA Champs are not an excuse for silence of the powers that be on this subject.

I did that, enquiring about their not picking the story up. Providing a precis, links to Derek's articles. Explained that it would be cool if LetsRun could get on the story ahead of the curve, gain traffic for the site, do the right thing by affected podium placers etc etc.
Didn't even get a reply.
However, when I emailed about the Caster Semenya interview they did with the BBC. No problem. Got a reply within a few hours.

Look at the thread! It's Frank who looks like a stalker, creeping through the crowds in his Ninja outfit, before scuttling onto the course to steal yet more accomplishment from his unfortunate competitors.
Oh and you of course, who absolutely wouldn't bother wading through a hundred page thread to make that comment if they didn't have a vested interest in getting away with cheating themselves.

I have tried really hard to think of a reason why people do this in these threads unless they are a sock, a cheat or a troll.
Frank said this in the Canadian Running article:
"If there’s any doubt, disqualify me. I run for fun."
As per that, I don't think L.A Marathon should have any qualms in disqualifying him. Seems like Frank is giving them his blessing, if not advocating it.

No other reasons other than those IMO. Very few here though, to be honest, when compared to other articles. There are actually more in-depth defenses of Frank on Derek's site than here, I think.
We’ll DQ frank “for fun.” He can’t lead or follow, so we’ll just have to get him out of the way.

Numbnuts, Canadian Running plagiarized a previously published article. FM was never interviewed by them.
Hard to take bozos like you seriously when you can’t get simple facts straight.

Obviously, for whatever reasons, Letsrun has decided not to promote the story. But they clearly are moderating this thread, deleting the occasional objectionable post, and monitoring content, etc.
They can afford to bide their time, I think. You've got a respected doctor, coach & mentor during the week who is a serial cheater on the weekends -- who has cheated his way to an age group victory and unofficial "over-70" world record at a major marathon. So long as that result stands, the story has legs. Some relatively prominent news outlet just has to pick it up and put it in motion.

They won’t understand. They’ll call you a cheating apologist for pointing out that on a day that featured not one but TWO amazing track meets, they instead spent their time sifting through pictures of some old slow douche and photoshopping uncreative jokes about him. And then they will cry more about lack of coverage.
