From the outside, it looks almost certain that F.M. took shortcuts in his marathon pbs. The splits are unheard of.
However, without incontrovertible proof, final judgement should be delayed.
Another red flag, that few mentioned, is that between age 63-70 years Frank has 'improved' his performances by a wide margin, which goes against all we know about ageing, where older runners' performances actually decline by ever widening margins past age 65 years. That means the corresponding decline in running performances actually increases markedly with each succeeding 5 year time period.
So two major issues. One -the crazy splits by a 70 year old (including a 37.56 10k in the middle of a marathon), and the improvement with age, counter to human ageing physiology and performance.
