Why is this poster being so strange and vague?
First principles, Clarice. Read Marcus Aurelius.

Gene Dykes ran it that year. What does that have to do with anything?
Nothing, the poster (or posters) 2017 is playing that game that kids do of pretending to have a great secret so that they get attention and questions, makes them feel needed.

To be honest, you haven't really added much to other stories. Maybe time to pass the torch to another poster who did a lot of work on this thread.

No and I can play "who can be the most obtuse?" all day long.
Then go do something else.
It's not like you've contributed anything to this thread anyway.

Well I can spot a sockpuppet 2017.
Don’t feed trolls.

He says he is close to Frank and doesn’t want to be id’d

Congrats on your 1st contribution.
The ultimate place for this story seriously is Dr. Phil.
Would be a great one hour long Dr. Phil episode with either a full admission of serial cheating or one where Dr. Phil keeps showing the evidence and discusses psychopathology of narcissism.
btw, great find by deadesq on the 2017 LAM with him having just come up the stairs from the bike path to join back in. (was just another wee break though to be sure....)

So you think 2017 is a Frank supporter?
OUCH!, And the hits keep coming...... https://www.newser.com/story/277319/record-run-at-la-marathon-was-actually-impossible.html?utm_source=part&utm_medium=uol&utm_campaign=rss_top

Obviously Derek has contributed greatly to this story, but I don't completely disagree that a different representative might be better for a future TV story. For instance compare how Derek and Jose Zavala come off in this story:
https://abc7.com/sports/70-year-old-record-setter-disqualified-from-la-marathon/5376169/Obviously the facts are 100% behind Derek but Zavala comes across much more professionally.

This looks much nicer. But I guess you enjoy gazing into Frank’s dreamy eyes.
https://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=9469548There seems to be another determined attempt by trolls, sockpuppets and presumed Frank supporters to derail the thread. I think you are about 250 pages too late to be effective.

I’m glad Derek stepped up and did so much work to uncover this fraud. It’s very important in this world that people take proper credit for the things that they do.
Oh wait a minute...
Sorry, I can’t affford a spokesperson.
It’s part of my charm.
Honestly, that was poorly setup. Got a call while at work and it was rushed. Had no option but to do it on my phone while holding it.
Derek,
Next time use a laptop or at least set your phone on a stable surface. Buy a cell phone tripod or other device to prop your phone up.
