Frank, they warned you to come clean.
And now People Magazine.

Why did he do it? wrote:
First time I met Frank (4 years ago), he managed to weave into our first conversation a humble-brag about how he was a champion marathon runner in his age group. My response? A facsimile of Roderick Powell's compliment that kicked off this thread. "Wow, that's amazing! Kudos for you!" I said, or words to that effect ...
... exactly the same kind of ego-stroking that's been falsely feathered upon Frank for 10+ years, every time he casually mentioned his "accomplishments."
Think you hit the nail on the head there, it was all about the humble-brag.
Now the how and who was involved in the aiding and abetting?
As a geezer who is somewhat computer-challenged, I don't know how to do this, but could one of you geniuses concoct an Imgur pic of FM with a caption as something like a dictionary definition of "Humble-Brag?" (Also would like to know how to embed pic's in a post.)

But this also brings to mind the chip-on-a-lanyard quandary. If that's being used to hand off to others (the only reasonable explanation for using a lanyard I can imagine), then he'd run the same risk of photographic evidence.
The lanyard is just Frank being super meticulous so he doesn't get accused of cheating because one or more of the mats wasn't triggered.

Scott, how about showing us that guaranteed proof you have. Let’s make Frank great again.
I do not have the time to respond to trolls at this point. Those guilty of slander will be held accountable and definitive proof showing Frank did in fact run the times in question will be released at the appropriate time.
Oops!!!
Wow that's big getting coverage on ABC. Please somebody capture and upload to youtube.
Also to deadesq...those photos of Frank going the wrong way are comedy gold. That and the pic of him watching the elites run by at 10K.
Enjoying the show. Thanks Frank. You really are the gift that keeps on giving.

Finished the interview with ABC. Mentioned Phoenix and the video. Hopefully that makes the cut.
Was on Skype on my phone holding it. Hopefully it’s not obvious that my arm felt like it was going to fall off by the end.
great and thanks!
Just a quick vent: What an outright failure Runner's World is? From naming him Runner of the Year in 2014 AFTER HE WAS DQ'D by the California International Marathon to not even mentioning this story even after the LA Times article? (they were mentioned again for doing so in the CBSSports online story about Meza--- to be fair, was wondering what was up with Letsrun until Rojo checked in here and was willing to put up $$$ for a Meza challenge ). So good job, Runner's World: 100's of thousands (more probably) of people are reading/watching and listening to THE running story of the day and you're writing nonsense stories about runners who throw out the first pitch at baseball games. jeez

Frank, Frank, Frank! You were warned: implored. Oh, boy!
Hey, I'm sure Frank wanted to be famous so there he is right in the same publication as the kardashians.

These days, I think Runner's World only covers "positive" uplifting stories and product reviews. This story is not very positive.

This was confirmed by Doubler.
Geez I'm only marginally better than Sir Rodrick at quotes.
Time to inundate Phoenix with emails and Facebook messages, complete with links. Make it clear they can be on the right side of history or they’re complicit with cheating. There’s no middle ground.
And yes, I’ve done my part. When I get that “timely response” I’ll share it.

The original content of SF’s email message was a comment on the first LA Times story. That post was authentic. Someone reposted that content to this thread. Doubtful that post was by the real SA.

If I may say...you ain't seen NOTHING yet. Soon....Doubler gets the exclusive on this one.

You mean disqualifying a cheater and giving the true age group winners their due recognition isn't uplifting?
