It would appear that the damage has been done.
Just google Frank Meza, without quotes, and it's all about this story:

And you have shown, you are a humourless nonentity who has added nothing material to the thread and should butt out...
Put up the article. This one is basically to report on the DQ and set the table for the more detailed analysis on the other races.

Admittedly, after poring over literally tens of thousands of photographs for the last week, I am tired. And a bit punchy.
I think I will step away from this saga for a bit now, as I think the point has been made about Frank.
I hope I've added materially to the discussion, even if I throw in the odd giggle like this one. No offense meant. Moranic, moronic, or otherwise.
When I see these types of negative responses to the great work you, Derek, and others have done it occurs to me that these are probably cheaters who have been outed in the past. If you get caught cheating and don’t own up to it, you spend the rest of your life trying to discredit those who found you out. How pathetic an existence. Frank and friends, at 70 you only have 15 to 20 so years left. Do you want to spend the rest of them in constant denial and counter claims, or do you want to put this behind you. Give a full confession of all the races you have cheated at, and your accomplices should come clean also as it’s now just a mater of time.
This is the part of the LA Marathon DQ notice that I love the most:
......... and our calculation that Dr. Meza’s actual running time for at least one 5K course segment would have had to have been faster than the current 70-74 age group 5K world-record [AN IMPOSSIBLE FEAT DURING A MARATHON]. (I added the caps; LA Marathon's exact words)
You see, Lalo Diaz --Philip Bland, NOT HUMANELY POSSIBLE FOR A 70 YEAR OLD!
Oh and again Phoenix Marathon what are you waiting for?
I'm hoping that David Wharton will post a follow-up to his LA Times article with the official DQ.
Yes, thanks to Derek and now Deadesq. Very much appreciated by most (if not all) that I chat with off of here. Was on a group run Sunday and this was the topic of conversation. Keep it up.
Bunch of hypocrites we are.
I don’t agree with what Frank did. It is wrong but this sport is screwed up at the top and you are clinging to Frankie like flies on shite while the owner of this website seems to encourage doping if it isn’t against the rules.

Frank Meza 2012 Surf City marathon finish FM appears at 9:15 and is announced at 9:45 of this video

I tried posting a YouTube video of Frank Mesa finishing the Surf City 2012 marathon, maybe unsuccessfully. The video is can be seen on YouTube. It is part 2 and features HM and full marathon finishers. I posted this because after watching this, it seemed to me that FM looked slightly “less slow” at 63, than at 70...when he is supposed to be almost 17 minutes faster. And videos of FM actually running are kind of rare..
It seems that, unlike a certain wedding DJ, he wasn't active on social media, but as a supervising physician and high school coach, I'm sure he had plenty of opportunities to talk about his "achievements." Like limping down the stairs the day after a marathon and waiting for other doctors to ask him why he was limping. "Oh, I'm a little sore from the marathon yesterday," then waiting for the "how did you do?" question. I imagine that the high school kids must have heaped the compliments on at the next practice after a marathon "win."
Just read the article. Wow, 44 races in 12 years. And he may have (or probably) cheated in every one. But as of now there are only three DQ’s. As far as I know there is no statement from CIM about what caused their two (is that true?), just FM claiming there was a problem with his splits and he agreed with them very graciously. And I don’t like the wording used by LAM in their DQ. Did anyone else think they seemed to tip toe around the real issue? Nothing they said can’t be explained by FM’s phony pee story. He can say he re-entered the course in a slightly different place (like one building down) and there was an eyewitness of it. So big deal. As for the impossible split he can say well that’s an issue with the chip or mat and he’ll once again agree that it’s wrong. LAM, or any other race, if they actually have the evidence, need to be blunt and say FM re-entered the course 6 miles from where he exited it and eyewitnesses saw him get into or out of a car, etc. Otherwise it gives FM wiggle room to keep lying. And for some reason that bugs me.

It really bugs me too! Nobody seems to be willing to step up and bluntly say "Frank Meza is a lying cheater!" However, as this goes on and more and more photos come out and Frank continues to lie and deny, this will get bigger and bigger coverage... Eventually, I expect some national TV coverage and maybe an article or two in some national magazine's etc.
Great work Derek, deadesq and others!
This would be a great opportunity for Conqur Endurance Group to file a civil case against Frank for fraud. Or, get some of the other competitors he defrauded together and file a case...

This is known as "whataboutery", why not start a thread to discuss these injustices ? We will carry on here.
I have no problem with their statement: He broke the rules, was DQ'd and that was in their statement: enough for me and what all have been asking for on here. And they added this as an exclamation point: "...and our calculation that Dr. Meza’s actual running time for at least one 5K course segment would have had to have been faster than the current 70-74 age group 5K world-record [an impossible feat during a marathon]." They didn't have to do that and glad they did as warning to Frank and the 3, 4, or 5 in his camp: NOT HUMANLY POSSIBLE. YOU'RE A CHEAT!
Now, when presented with evidence of the additional races , will they continue to DQ.? That's what has to be done and would welcome a brief: "Frank Meza has been DQ'd from the 2015, 2017 and 2018 LA Marathons for rule violations: The new AG winners are...." That's enough for me.
CIM made a brief statement, it was included in my initial article. What you would expect. Suspicious splits, lack of photos.
