Amazing! A V70 who is not invisible to cameras.
And who DIDN'T ask the photographers not to photograph him! Amazing!

Do you ever feel guilty about ruining someones reputation based on a blurry pic from 500 yards which could be a million people wearing a blue shirt including the woman wearing a blue shirt standing not more than 10 feet from another person wearing the same blue shirt? How do you even get to this point in your life?
The top 3 finishers in the 70-74 AG for males at the LA Marathon should now read:
1. Dan Adams 4:10:07
2. Marek Malolepszy 4:11:08
3. Joe Ogata 4:25:24
All damn good performances in 70-74 and hope they all eventually receive their awards.

You forgot the most important one.... my Aztec champion and yours, Dr. Frank Meza!!!!!!
Since FM can’t sue for anything else, he could sue for unauthorized portrayal.
Throwing photos and names of possibly random runners into this thread is garbage. The two guys likely made a mistake. LA has always been responsive with these types of things. Cut and dry. Email them and they will fix it.
As far as the hi-red pics. I’ve used up my favors for awhile. Everything that remains on the site was purchased at full price. These costs were offset by contributions, etc.
If there’s similar evidence uncovered at other races, I’ll buy those too. But not really necessary for LA 2019.

Thanks Derek. I've always thought you've been fair in your reporting and choosing who to report on. Just unfortunately wrong in this case.

Both are named Robert Lautz. So, either father/son, or remarkable coincidence that the packet pickup screwed it up and gave the 70-year old guy the bib for a 28-year old guy. I'm opting for the former, and that dad and son didn't look too closely at the age groups on their bibs.
Seriously, what the hell is wrong with you all? You aren't Nancy Drew. You're dragging another group of men through the mud and associating them with cheating when you clearly are just idiots. Stop doing this.
No splits for either one until 25K, not even the starting line.
You don't see any problem with this?

With his 4:14, Robert Lautz has qualified for Boston.
Time to start a new thread I think.
Dammit Frank I told you that you were getting too greedy. You said we would never get caught. Now look, my life is going to be ruined just like yours.
All I wanted was a f*cking BQ.
yeah but its relevant because if you get meza dqed then he moves up and he looks like a lam serial cheater too

None whatsoever. Not without a picture of them riding a motorized double-bike.
Even then I wouldn't care. Didn't we agree a few pages ago that we only care about FRANK because her set a "WR"? Right? A few people said that was their justification. These guys did NOT and unless you were following them with a GoPro you have no clue what happened during the race.
Leave these guys alone.
Not really garbage... the 4th place guy may be a minor serial cheater at the LAM. No splits till 25k two years in a row etc. On a “slow marathon cheating news day,” that’s a little story. Just shows how prevalent cheating may be. Of course, don’t wanna detract from main thread.

Sorry guys, I keep talking carp I know. I'm just trying to feel important today and not so lonely as I usually do. Life just chokes me up sometimes and I cry over little things for no reason.
Anyway, here is where the real truth of what went on is located:

Or they intentionally only ran that segment because they control their own self-determination and it's their right to do whatever they want in a race that they paid for...?
If LAM wants to DQ them, fine. You have no idea what any of these runners are doing or what their motivation for being there was. Stop dragging people through the mud.
Don't most people expect to get in trouble with others when they cheat and deceive? Why all the whining about it for the sake of someone else? Honest people don't mind a little questioning and one mistake, or misunderstanding, won't hurt them.
I am just sick of all of this. It is so rotten and mean. Frank is a wonderful man, a fantastic fluid runner and a marvellous human being.
To be honest he has become my reason for living. Saving him and saving his reputation is arguably just as important as saving an endangered species. Yes, I said it. Men like Frank are in danger of dying out. Real men brought up in adversity, who are humble, help others and make something of themselves. He deserves to be left alone.

I mean I know you're trying to mock me but what you wrote is surprisingly like how I feel inside. Thank you for helping me express it.

Yes, I know. In the short time I have spent becoming besotted with him on this thread, I have grown to love the man. He has truly magnificent legs - two of them , in fact. And they are wizened and wise like Aztec oak trees, with roots that stretch back to his ancestors.
The way he chooses to dress is also very attractive to me. An older man, with a nice hat, and flattering shorts is something I find very appealing. I honestly don't think he gets enough credit for that on this forum.
This thread is so sad and weird. I love it.
