An opinion based on disclosed facts isn't libel. There is no case against Derek. California has a strong anti-slapp law, any lawyer who is not a moran would advise Frank not to sue, Frank would have to pay all Derek's legal bills.
Scott Dominguez might have a tenuous case against the poster who registered his name. I wouldn't expect it to succeed but it might not get laughed out of court. To the poster going as Scott Dominguez, it's not a good idea to poke lawyers with a stick.
