okay already is Meat Tornado. just verified it. shame on you for lying.
You're full of sh!t, even if I am the only one one to know it. No, I suppose Meat Tornado would know it, too. I am definitely not him, and you are a lying jerk. Both of us do know that, jack@ss.
This guy has impersonated 5 people on this thread. Why?
Had this reply to the details of Frank's cheating that I sent to the third placed finisher. He is really grateful for the effort everyone has taken here. Obviously, I have just emailed him the info he asks for: Ceo of conqur group, L.A. General contact email details etc. If anyone's got any better direct point of contact for him to use please post and I'll make sure he gets it.
Thank you very much for your job !
I really appreciate what you and numbersssss of other people are doing to straight out
this outrages happening.
You convinced me and I will write my complain/request to La Marathon officials to disqualify
Frank Meza for life from this beautiful event.
I need a little help.
Have no idea what I'm doing wrong but I can't access 2019 LA Marathon results in certain age categories.
Second, what is the best e-mail address to send my letter ?
I'm getting ready for my another life adventure, chasing soaring records in Utah and Nevada,
but I will find time to help runners community to chase this individual out forever from competition.
With my best regards
...

But I've posted under more handles than I can count and I'm not very good at figuring out when someone is obviously cheating. Why?
Amby Burfoot's thoughts are on Derek's site but currently for me I'm timing out presumably due to the demand. The article was interesting and adds a bit more background without giving anything new in terms of his race "exploits".
As a non runner who has no idea how I found all this, I would have been impressed by a 70 year old just being able to complete a marathon. He didn’t need pretend to set a record.
The story just keeps getting more and more interesting.
So, it now comes out that this high school coach is threatening people on Mez'a behalf?
Okay, fine if he's trying to keep this story under wraps to protect his high school runners and the image of his team , but if he's working in concert with Meza, that's super sleazy. Well, actually it's super sleazy to threaten people to stay quiet either way. Great role models.
A good journalist now has more than enough to pen a great story about this whole affair.

The problem being of course is that it has yet to be demonstrated that he has in fact ran a marathon

This story just keeps getting stranger. Lalo Diaz is a high school coaching legend. He has coached some of the nation’s top prep harriers and teams. I’m stunned to hear that he left a threatening message for Amby Burfoot.
Lalo is a bright guy. If he looked closely at Derek Murphy’s articles he would know that Meza cheated. Appears to me that his friendship with Meza is clouding his judgment on this one. Sad.
I'm now inclined to think that the good Dr. Bland has been in on it from the beginning. It would be interesting to find out who the "boys" are that train with him on the weekends.
Very "neutral" article from Burfoot...for the most part.
I guess I still don't understand what the point of having an "observe runner" would do at this point. I mean, suppose he (Meza) actually takes LA Marathon and Amby up on this offer and goes out there and runs 3:25 and NOT 2:54 (or whatever time the record is). Meza will claim that "he had a bad day"...which all runners have. LA Marathon has proven (so far) they won't DQ him despite photographic and video evidence. They'd probably just say "well, this still doesn't prove he cheated in those prior years"
Is there a magical time that Meza will have to hit to prove everyone wrong?
One race with a "observe runner" you can say was a bad day, but if you have someone with him for his next 5 or 10 races of that distance and see him constantly come nowhere close to that time, then you know it's all crap. (Note, I do firmly believe he is/was cheating at LA/Phoenix).
I’ve noticed that people who’ve scammed this many become untouchable in many ways, because outing them would make too many people look bad.
You're naive at best.
He's not going to run 3:25 on the best day of his life, not happening. Regardless of what he says, he will not run a marathon again unless it's for fun...that sir is his "crutch" that he's going to now use over and over and over and trust me, he knows it and he knows that people know it. Now it's going to be A LOT slower finishes (if he even does one again) and excuse after excuse (injuries, my heart and soul aren't in it anymore, the dog ate my homework...).
As was mentioned before, he would have been mid 2:40's if not faster if he had truly ran the entire distance yet actually stopped for pee breaks...those weren't pee breaks that we all say. Now he'll say he was stretching and forgot to mention that part before. Cheaters are prepared with excuses if and when they get caught.
Anyone who can't figure out right now, today, that it's all crap needs their head examined. No one runs that pace for fun. Even without the video evidence there's a mountain of unexplained circumstantial/non-sensible evidence that cannot be explained away.

False. Kip was outed with irrefutable evidence that he could not explain. Other people looking bad has nothing to do with it.
To run the times he claims to have run, Meza would have to average roughly 6:40 per mile. If we take in to account his “pee breaks” then he would have to run closer to 6:30s. My guess is that on his observed runs (which he will never actually do), he would be unable to sutstain a 6:45 pace for more than a few miles if at all. The clips of him shuffling along at 8 minute pace that do exist show what we can expect of him.
I’m sure Burfoot’s article will kick this story up a notch. We need someone with more savvy than I have to set up a challenge for Meza...All of us doubters can donate to a fund for charity. If Meza runs sub 3 hours at Long Beach in October, he can direct the money to the charity of his choice. My guess is that there would be $10,000+ in that fund.
According to Meza, Bland, and Diaz that would be easy money for Meza.
"Smell the Coffee". I realized all those things, as well and had posted earlier in the thread about several of the points you brought up. Was just more of a "what is the point of the observe runner NOW?" type post than anything. You're exactly right though that at this point it's just going to be one "excuse" after another no matter what..IF he ever runs another marathon.
doubters? he's not running a sub 3 at Long Beach in October, or ever.
he's never running a sub 3 no matter what Meza, Bland and Diaz claim would be easy money.
this whole fiasco is a big joke but he got caught.
now people are questioning if he could do it or not?
wow, I mean wow to the nth degree.
he cheated, period.

I think he meant doubters as "doubters".
I'm not sure anyone who has actually read even a few pages of this thread and/or the stuff over at MI believes Meza is capable.
