Yes. Please read the article. That is exactly what we are saying. USATF will decline the invitations and instead go with the first three athletes at the Trials with the standard -- even if they're 7th, 8th, and 9th.
The OG entry standard has two lists and a field size cap
1- a time standard list
2- a position on the rankings standard list
added together these lists and the cap make up the entry standard
the phrase "has the standard' concerns me as it does other posters.
It seems to me-- we need onelong run-on sentence
To reach the OG desired field size the OG officials create a master list made up of those who have the auto time and continue the list by adding those who by their points total on the ranking system (using the three per nation rule) are the invited athletes . This list is now the entry standard list.
