Most, but not all. That one study that Gary Taubes cherry picks from 1953 with three subjects is totally a legit study, right?

You nailed it. He's a pathetic monster of well... deep down, sadness of getting old.
Why thank you from the bottom of my heart. And here is why: if one posts on here a topic with a registered handle without vicious ad hominem vitriol from anons and bitter jealous trolls, you probably are either Ed Whitlock (R.I.P.) or a mealy-mouthed nobody. Hell, even talented, well-intentioned elite athletes get their flesh torn from their bones for the slightest misstep by the anonymous vultures infesting this board.
I could post all day about my wonderful six-figure income and 10/10 wife, as well as my (age-graded) world-class athletic performances, and some might give lukewarm kudos thinly masking their envy, but for a verification of true, authentic effect, it is only in the vicious backlash against real ideas, well-expressed, that assures that one has truly hit the mark.
May you thrive and prosper in your simmering, jealous internal rage. I can only hope that your years of PNSO will keep your trolling well-fueled. And you are welcome to return to my thread anytime, I promise I will keep it toasty warm for you :)
Same old BS from YMMV. Show must go on.

Veganism does the body good?
I'm not afraid of being insane
Been here too long
And I've seen too much
I got messed up
Ooh, I got messed up
I got messed up
Ooh, I got messed up
My mamma is gone
And my daddy, too
Whatever I got
I got it myself
I got messed up
Ooh, I got messed up
I got messed up
Ooh, I got messed up
I've been so strong; tried for so long
Now everything is gone
I got messed up
Yeah, Yeah, Yeah
OK. We get it. Why don't you just say your prayers, see the bathroom, and go to bed. Bladder pressure is no fun.
Ah resorting to ad hominem attacks I see? How classy. For the record I took Nutrition, Chem, and Bio at Cornell. Where did you go to school again? My parents are very middle class (very poor for Ivy League standards actually). I worked part-time as a student athlete in college to make ends meet.

Sage, you are very hangry. Eat a steak, before you hurt yourself and others. You can't tell when someone is joking, LMAO.

That guy convinced me that eating plants is bad. He's totally right. We should really be cannibals and eat the organs of children. That's how the Illuminati live 150 years.
Cannibalism is the true path.
https://youtu.be/THRTLMZlSew?t=412The best diet for human: eat only raw organic grass-fed beef and inject a few ounces of water per day. Water shouldn't be drunk, because it's bad for gut health, and will make you have diarrhea. Always having a low amount of water will also make your muscles more visible, so inject as little water as possible each day. No need to worry about any vitamins, minerals or aminoacids etc, the beef contains everything a human needs to thrive.
A deeper dive into the physiology of dietary fiber:

1) Dietary fiber is not essential for long-term gut health. Like all carbohydrates, it is not a dietary requirement for health.
2) In many cases, dietary fiber can irritate the bowel and exacerbate gut dysbiosis.
Last night I came across this video of one of my favorite climbing areas in beautiful southern Utah. I was able to complete the climb shown after many attempts. A different challenge than running, but I am passionate about pioneering in all the sports I do. Life on the road is the truest freedom I have known and every day is a fresh challenge.

Dude, you're still around? Go get a life before it's too late.
you do you wrote:
I'm not sure what it is that makes diet an issue that people feel the need to get evangelical about. I'm glad the dude found a diet that works for him, but what is it that makes so many people think "I like eating certain things. I NEED TO TELL THE WORLD AND CONVINCE THEM TO LIKE THE SAME STUFF AS ME."
Eat nothing but meat. Eat no meat at all. You do you. You don't need to convince me of anything.
The funny thing is that the keto/carnivores stole their every move from the vegans. For many years the vegans invoked the specter of the evil meat conspiracy controlling government policy, and the meat industry has then and now spent millions on lobbying and advertising. So the keto people decided to flip that on them and claim that there's an evil vegan conspiracy and "big food" controlling government policy, and every industry wants to sell its product and every interest group wants influence.
For many years the vegans ran billboards taunting meat eaters that eating meat causes impotence, so now some keto kooks flip that and taunt the vegans saying not eating meat causes impotence.
Every tactic that the HFLC advocates now use was done earlier and better by the vegans so the HFLCers just stole the strategies. Or maybe it's less intentional and it's the old we become what we hate.
There is a difference that we have seen in this thread. Obesity and obesity-related diseases like T2D have always correlated with high fat and high meat diets, which vegans have used to blame those things, so the keto folks, as seen with YMMV in this thread, have decided that nutrition science and research mean nothing, all epidemiological studies are worthless, and the only thing that matters is individual stories and the fact that vegans look worse in bad lighting than they do in good lighting (a new one to me from this thread).
Vegan got caught eating fish, I wonder what percent of vegans lie?
Let people experiment. Any of you guys out there having reflux issues, or IBS problems? CUT BACK on the carbs - including fiber, jack up the protein and fat intake. Then watch what happens. After two weeks you'll wonder why you've been lied to for so long about having to eat so much fruit and veggies.
Vegans? Most look unhealthy, and in fact MOST vegans and vegetarians suffer from macular degeneration at astronomical rates in comparison with the rest of the population, no matter what they eat.
Oh, these poor benighted souls. Don't they know how unhealthy their lifestyle is? There are probably some tasty tubers around that only take a day to dig up for a meal.
Apparently a "vegan" with a pretty big following, got caught eating fish.

In her response video, she talks about losing her period and other health problems while on a vegan diet. Which she fixed, by eating animal products again. But she kept this secret, until she got caught. I wonder how many more vegans are actually lying?
