I'm astonished I never heard about the indoor 13:05. His 3:49 was at 5th Avenue, where he beat Centro. He ran 13:07 way back in 2015, which is why we're surprised he hasn't yet reached the next level. If he's not with NOP any more, that is no good. When they drop a runner, that's usually pretty much it. Good luck to him, an entertaining guy and seemed to be a future potential medalist--missed the team in fact in 2016 when Chelimo just barely beat him, and Chelimo went on to medal.
The hair thing, by the way, comes from an interview with him years ago where he quoted a movie.
