This announcement did not surprise me the least. She shaded some other athletes for "lying on the beach for two weeks" right after NYC marathon. And was bragging on and on how she scrapped her vacation and was hopping right back into hard training to gain an advantage over them.
Guess she learned the hard way that you get injured when you don't properly recover. Can't say I have sympathy. Jumping right back into 100mile weeks after a marathon is a recipe for disaster and she got it coming a long way.
Its an obsessive compulsive behavior times two when you bring Brad into the picture.
Some success at NYC , Brad only one athlete to focus on, Allie a little compulsive already, nobody to tell her to back down and take a more relaxed approach to her training. Add in the relationship part and them being with each other 24/7, tick tock -boom!
Now her shot at the trials may be dimming slightly with this current recipe for doomed failure.
Still time to adjust but not much.
