If lanes 1 and 2 are "way too tight" to run the 400, why does every damn athlete cut right into lane 1 when possible?
Also shout-out to Daniel Roberts coming in second in 7.41, also running inside of the Holloway's collegiate record of 7.42 going into the meet. Crazy!
Daniel Roberts in 2nd BROKE the previous collegiate record
USC goes 1-3 in the 400 after putting four women in the 60H final, one of whom won it.
I don't know whats going on with that program but they are building a dynasty.
USC women pull ahead in team scoring w/ 31 points. 1st (Kaelin Roberts) and 3rd (Kyra Constantine) in 400 give them a 16 point lead over Arkansas. Still 60 and 200 for more points
One thing (among others) I think USC does very well is they gradually add in special endurance and speed endurance volumes whereas some other programs load up their athletes earlier in preparation so as to avoid suppressing their maximal velocity ability.
The "dreaded lane 3"-shut up Dwight.
Very good showing by MEAC athletes in the women’s hurdles and the men’s 400. Don’t need to be from a Power 5 school.
We are uploading post-race videos as quick as we can while the meet goes on.

Here are the mile champs. Beamish told us he wanted to run the 3000 but he didn't qualify.

Also, that 7.14 did not tie the collegiate record, just FYI, Dwight.

Holloway is a stud. He's gonna get the gold in tokyo over omar macleod.

You are correct. It equalled the 2019 seasonal best but was certainly not a CR.
For years he was my favorite track analyst but somewhere towards the end of NBC run he started to lose it making frequent misstatements.

You trolling? Or do you have a double digit IQ?
The play by play commentary on this is pretty horrific. They need to hire my normal ivy league partner Bill Spaulding. He would know the names of every runner in the final and not just miss tons of people in teh 800.
They barely mentioned Akins of Penn. Didn't know who Danae Rivers was. Horrific call.
Danae Rivers used her 4:29 strength and turned it on like Nuguse did the last 50 meters.

Not crazy. He's undefeated, he's my pick too.
They announcers said going for the record?
