Nice trolling!
Too bad this event is slated to be eliminated in a few years.
Then again, it was only invented (for women) rather recently.

If you knew your history, you would know that race walking was the premier spectator event at the first several Olympics. Walking was the endurance sport of the day. Running … not so much.
No black page? This is further proof that the brojos are sexist!
Congrats to the winner! However, I think it’s about time they replaced it with a 50k-100 mile trail race. How many people worldwide run ultras vs. racewalk?

Nah.... that’s just some BS statistic probably quoted by some race walking enthusiast who basically assumed that anyone lingering around on “race” day was a spectator. It’s not a real sport, and the only way for them to break records is to cheat a bit (not keeping both feet on the ground at the same time). It’s just a watered down version of running. I seriously can’t watch it without alternating between laughing at them and being embarrassed for them. I don’t know how they take themselves seriously.
Liu Hong GOAT race walker!
That's a pretty good run. With better form she could probably take 20 minutes off.
