Creep/liar/money-hungry/scam and cult sum up my experience with Trent. Camp was incredible and the other coaches and athletes were and still are great friends. But if you weren’t one of his “clients” you were nothing. His entire social media presence on his personal accounts which he uses to follow many of his athletes is sharing pictures of him traveling the US, vacationing, and living a life of luxury while making pit stops at the homes of anyone willing to pay him to “coach their kids into college”... no athlete should have to decide between their High school team and a private coach with few credentials other than taking the success and fame of young athletes’ as his own. As a sophomore at his camp I was running 11:11 in the 3200m yet I went unnoticed to the the 6:05 girls in the 1600 because they were the clients- the ones foolish enough to believe they had to pay for their success and fast times. Money doesn’t get you fast. Hard work and having fun does. And Trent removes that by creating divide, hostility and judgement, a false belief of superiority, and by making you believe you can’t be successful without him.

Skip the Crested Butte trust fund in the sky and go to the best, most uncompromisingly DIY summer xc program in existence: The Running School in upstate NY. This summer will be year 50 for them. You could not find a program with more integrity.

Sean Brosnan is the best and worst part of that camp.
