I wish her the best. There is nothing worse than being an injured teenage. You find something you are good and passionate about it and then suddenly you can't do it. Every season feels like an eternity.
If I were her, I'd start OVER. Give yourself a year. Forget that you ran 4:07. Try to give yourself a year to go from 0 to say 40 mpw.
She is one of my favorite runners. Her accomplishments will remain, best of luck on her new path.
Amazing runner and loved watching her race at the trials - no fear
Cheering for you, Kate
Anyone else know elite runners who have had PAES surgery? I need it, about to schedule with the Cleveland Clinic
Was curious about how others recovered, etc
Thanks
Schedule with James Black at Johns Hopkins - her surgeon. Have read her instagrams and this is who she went with. Has a pic with him. She's coming back - but doing it her way. Can't wait to see her on the track again - was always a highlight to see her compete!
Is there a rule against attaching a helium balloon to yourself while running a road race?
Am I living in the twilight zone? The Boston Marathon weather was terrible!
How rare is it to run a sub 5 minute mile AND bench press 225?
Jakob Ingebrigtsen has a 1989 Ferrari 348 GTB and he's just put in paperwork to upgrade it
Move over Mark Coogan, Rojo and John Kellogg share their 3 favorite mile workouts
Mark Coogan says that if you could only do 3 workouts as a 1500m runner you should do these
