They ran together and both missed the split. If they think that someone had to be there to record the split, their excuse is reasonable.

No way did they skip 5 miles and not know it before claiming they ran the race. They could have claimed not to know how far a half marathon is if they didn’t reference running 13 miles.

They just don’t understand the evidence against them. Not once have they acknowledged the world record pace.

These 2 are clearly not the sharpest tools in the shed, but they def knew they were cheating.

Why? Because by the time they came to the 6 mile mark, they must have had some people ahead of them who did the right thing and made the second loop. The cheaters turned left and headed for home. They did this knowingly. Bries sweet protests are further proof that shes cheating.

Yeah, this doesn't look like a normal poster here. "you're" used correctly (except for the missing ', but at least it's not your), "too" used correctly instead of to or two.

First, I don't really like that we've now contributed to the worthless clickbait pile out there on the internet.

Second, I think internet dogpiles can become too much. Sure, she shouldn't have cut the course and then bragged as if she did the whole thing. But there's a fine line between calling someone out and everyone calling someone out for something relatively minor. It isn't as though she really harmed anyone.

Third, there is no way that Manziel is 210 pounds. Maybe 181.

I used to live in Texas, so I kind of feel like I know Johnny-rito. And let me tell you something man, that cat used to be the craziest dude around. Someone would say something and then, bam! He'd be off. Just like that. No telling sometimes. So there's no way. Absolutely no way his wife did this.

girl, please. you were behind me on the first half of the half. when we went back around (to the right, as directed by several race officials/personnel out there - so you couldn’t miss it!) i NEVER saw you again. just say “sorry” and move on, cheater.

Can I just ask why we all seem to care about a 2 hour HM so much? All she did was lie about her PR on instagram which I’m sure many people here do, tell fibs about their PRs claiming to be 4 minute guys when they are really 4:59 guys.

The race officials obviously knew they cheated because they were disqualified. ??‍♀️

Update (7:40 p.m. ET): A pacesetter at the half marathon wrote in to me after the article went up. Here is his account:

I was one of the 2:00 pacers on the course. As such I was able to see who was ahead of me on the turnarounds of the course. The course map you showed in your article was correct. These two ladies were dressed to impress and hard to miss in their flaming pink outfits. My co-pacer and I saw them turn in front of us when we were at the 12 mile mark. At that point they should have gone around for the second loop but they didn’t. They turned left and ran the last two miles instead.

You can check my official time, which is correct. If they had run close to two hours they would have been right alongside of my co-pacer and me for the entire run. Afterwards I saw them taking selfies and photos at the winery, and they were definitely looking too good to have just run 13.1 miles! I watched them take the photo you posted in the article, as I was standing 5 feet away from them after the run. That’s what brought this to my attention as I recognized the girl immediately as one of the two who cut the course.

I still leaning towards that these idiots are too dumb to realize what they were doing during the race and understand why it is a problem in the aftermath.

Sociopaths are people who keep on lying and lie so much that they believe their own lies to be true. They will never admit they're lying or wrong, regardless of the evidence against them. they knew damn well that they were cheating and did not care. People of the course have now called them out. It was all for the notoriery/accolades/story of their life AKA Instagram. People try and present only the best image conceivable of self and some will go to lies and fakes to do it. The more followers, the more BS for some of these IG accounts. The best thing to do is a admit guilt and a quick apology for them. No one should feel sorry for them with the way they're handling this with the cheating and the lies. They live lavish and easy lives but cant help to create a bunch of drama. They will probably come out ahead with more IG followers and notoriety anyways. That's all they really care about, sadly.
