Update: Just looked out the front door and guess what? No war :)
Everything is good near my house I’m happy to report
I think cooler heads will prevail because of the MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction) doctrine if they were to go nuclear on each other. No one wins a nuclear exchange, therefore, only fools would fight in a burning house.
“Kashmir is definitely a nuclear flashpoint,” Major General Asif Ghafoor, chief spokesperson of the Pakistan Armed Forces, said on Saturday. He added that Pakistani armed troops are ready to repel any time, describing the dispute as a long-term struggle.
Another great day today :). Did a decent 5K race this morning, then had a relaxing rest of the day. No bombs, gunplay, etc.
Pakistan's Prime Minister Imran Khan has gone on a blistering attack, in a series of Twitter statements arguing that the world must "seriously consider" the safety of India's nuclear arsenal under control the "fascist" Modi government. "The world must also seriously consider the safety and security of India's nuclear arsenal in the control of the fascist, racist Hindu supremacist Modi government. This is an issue that impacts not just the region but the world," Khan tweeted early Sunday. Khan's words came just as the AFP is reporting some 4,000 Kashmiris thrown into detention amid an unprecedented crackdown by tens of thousands of Indian troops enforcing a legal revocation of Jammu and Kashmir's (J&k) autonomous status.

“I would say that Kashmir has been sold off,” she said on Tuesday, as quoted by the New Indian Express. A British-Pakistani journalist and author, Reham Khan was married to Imran for 10 months in 2015.
In the first encounter in nearly two weeks, a fierce gun-battle broke out this evening between terrorists and security forces in Baramulla area of north Kashmir. This is also the first encounter after the abrogation of Article 370 in J&K.
Sources say two to three terrorists are trapped inside as a joint operation by CRPF, Army and the Special Operation Group of the Jammu and Kashmir Police is launched. Baramullah is around 54 km from capital Srinagar.
Meanwhile, Kashmir Zone Police took to Twitter to say, "Exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists in Baramulla. (The) area under cordon. Details will follow."
