this stuff needs a solution - women need to figure this out. Their sport is heading down the drain unless they do.
Pretty late to the party on this issue.

Why do women need to figure it out?
Ironically, it's not women who are causing the problem.

Luckily for runner girls, Bekele isn't identifying as a woman.

He's a DNF, DNS machine lately. That's the kind of trans the ladies wouldn't care about. It's finishes they don't want to see.
Good for him. It's so great that if a man is too slow to win races he can just identify as a woman and win against women. Too bad women cannot do this though.
Seems fair. If He is better than the other conpetitors He should win. Only performance not gender should make you a winner
As a woman, I honestly find this terrifying. No matter how Telfer “identifies”, the fact is that, in athletics, men have an an advantage over women, in terms of bone structure, muscle, and VO2. If this trend of biological males competing as females is allowed to continue, it will kill off women’s sports.
Before everyone freaks out she is 3rd on the 60m hurdle list and 16th on the 60m dash list.
"women need to figure this out"
Pretty sure they have.
This is great and exactly what the left wants. Everyone should be able to do whatever they want. How long until it is just track and not men's and women's track? We can get rid of all the Title 9 requirements and cut all the women's sports now and just have more opportunity for men!
Now back to reality. Anyone who thinks that biological men don't have an advantage, even after a year of transition therapy, is a willfully ignorant. Years of PED use will result in stronger bones, muscles and more. It seems peole are affraid to state the obvious due to the wrath of the left's identity politics and victim scale. Good luck with that.

Isn't title 9 already turning it into 1 track team? The womens?
This guy's strategy might be the most effective way for a man to run at college level

Yes, but we don't admit males to the female category simply because they're slower than some females. Elite females are faster than the vast majority of males, but they are not faster than sub-elite and elite males. That's why we have separate categories. Without them, females would be pushed out of international and national competition--probably even most regional and lcoal competition. In other words, despite substantial overlap in athletic ability between males and females in the general population, top males can easily beat top females.
I just can't wait until a 7 foot tall transgender woman does this in basetball.
Then it's all over.
I used to think it was ok to let them compete after a year of hormones but it really varies a lot by every sport. I mean in some sports, the extra bone mass may not be a help but in others, its huge.
Maybe the only option is to say you can compete in non competitive sports but HS, NCAA and pro are out of bounds?

Already did. She had played for Central Michigan University.

the left wants this? I thought the left was also trying to feminize men, so this should all even out in a few years, no?

because the only way IOC and USATF types will step up is if female athletes demonstrate/boycott against the transgender competitors. No chance the brass would have the guts to move unless there is a genuine pushback from competitors.
