I guess that 3600' is "altitude" if you are from Florida or Louisiana. Kids from CO would be laughing.
When in Bend you are about 20 mins from 6000+ elevation trails

Kids from Florida/Louisiana would be in heaven compared to their hot and humid summer. "Altitude" doesn't matter because you don't get an altitude stimulus from 1 week in the summer anyway

Is this the big announcement? Because that would be hilarious

In fairness, if most of BTC's Instagram followers are high school students (plausible given Instagram's audience), who are really into the BTC (plausible for those who are watching the story), then for their audience, the announcement of a BTC running camp probably is really exciting.

SoCal >> Springs >> Boulder
Springs is terrible if you're a 20 something. Has no life or vibe.
Good place to raise a family if you like a conservative environment. City is a bit in disrepair though, especially the roads.
Outdoors there has huge potential though. It definitely rivals Boulder in that sense. Best place on the front range though has gotta be Fort Collins. Not quite on par outdoors wise with Boulder...but outside of that blows it out of the water.

I don’t get why parents will pay so much to send their kids to running camps like this one. It’s not like you’re magically going to become a better runner in a week, even with “elite” coaching.
I've met some great friends and had some amazing experiences going to running camps throughout high school. It's a good way to bond as a team and learn more about the sport. At the end of the day, running isn't always about results.
