What Bondi? 5? 4? 3?
I picked up the Bondi 5 on ebay, used. Basically new but one small piece of outsole rubber missing.
Bondi 5
Was running in the Clifton until they finally got too heavy and too little cushioning. I actually started with the Bondi 1 so I was pretty shocked at how light (and stylish) the 5 was. They were really really soft the first 800 miles. After 1,200 miles I ran a couple runs in the Napali but the Bondi felt just as good. I've been running 70 mile weeks in them right now and they are still feeling pretty good.
Thanks. My understanding is that the 5 is the most firm Bondi. The 4s were losing their cushion within 300-400 miles, so Hoka made the 5 more firm. A lot of people flipped out because the 5s were too firm, so they went back to pillow soft in the 6.
But I guess a big benefit of the firmer foam in the 5 is that extended life of the cushioning.
