Food was great I thought. Nice variety. Chicken tenders and fries for me but could get pasta or other healthier things. I went between events during the meet and never waited more than 5 minutes. Definitely more than 1 guy working it.
If someone wanted a beer they didn't have to wait in line.
Negatives:
1) Not sure if the blame goes to USATF or who but the Jumbotron was barely utilized. During every race you saw this:

Sound is pretty poor in there (I assume some engineers could come in and fix that somehow? Sound is terrible at armory too but in there at least its lound.) So fans in arena get a worse experience than someone on TV. If we dont' optimize the fan experience live then people will quit coming. Using the jumbotron as a live video board is essential. You can see the race, closeups of runners, etc.
2) Attendance. The arena seats 2,500. I talked to a guy in ticket booth and he said on day 1 he thought 1,700 people were in there. That's pretty much the attendance for a Wagner College (also on Staten Island) basketball game. Get busses and bus local high school kids to the meet for free if you want. Arena needs to be full.
