So the Brojos were like almost 40 when they wrote that 2000 LRC Survivor series meaning neither has really worked a real job in their life?
Dude what are you talking about? I think I wasn't even 30 when that was written.
The self-employed get no respect.
But here's my professional career since college:1) Economic consulting in DC at the Brattle Group. 2.5 years.
2) Quit job for 4 months to move to Flagstaff & train for Olympic Marathon Trials.
3) Started LetsRun.com at same time- 2000.
4) Got way better at running, decided to try and make it ago for 2004 Olympics. LetsRun.com grew into a viable business, but the Flagstaff survivor years were great. LetsRun made less money back then, but man was Flagstaff fun. I had no responsibilities and as you can see why had 4 guys in a one bedroom briefly. Made a bunch of money playing online poker one year. I didn't care how the money came in. Trying to live the running dream.
But if you consider working for someone else as the only way to have a real job, then I haven't had one since 2000. Kind of hard to believe.
Rojo's had a lot more "real" jobs than me as he only switched to LetsRun full-time about 5 years ago. But if you don't consider college coaching a "real job" then he hasn't had one since mid 2000s.
