Is it ok to run 90-100 mile a week only on singles? Like is a 12 mile easy run worse than two easy 6 milers in a day? Because of work and life getting in the way, it is much more convenient for me to run once a day but any thoughts on this?

Just run baby. Just think of this. 90 miles in singles + 3 miles every morning = 111 miles. Short 2-3 mile runs add up.

If you read Running with the Buffaloes, you see Goucher running about a hundred a week in singles.
Ed Whitlock did high mileage in singles.

guess 90 +35 = 125
That's essentially what I do. 80 minute easy runs, 90 minute workouts, 2 hour long runs at the moment. I'm out the door at 6 AM to fit in the mileage before work.
The question of whether it is fine depends on the runner. This of course is why runners have coaches.
This is also about the 100th LRC thread addressing some variation of this question.

Sometimes shorten a 12er and make the long run longer, and try to keep that Wed mod-long, you're all set brother

I’ve done
17+14+8.2+7.3+17.5+0+37.6
and it worked out pretty well for a 100 mile week. I prefer doing my runs all in singles because it works better with my schedule. I’m fairly new to “medium-high” mileage and have evened out to around 80mpw all in singles because I feel it’s sustainable. Everyone’s different you just have to find what fits your schedule and goals.
I'm currently running 70 - 80 miles/week on six runs per week. I do 10 mile easy runs, a 14 mile fartlek/tempo session, a track session totalling 11 - 14 miles accounting for w/u & c/d, and a 20 - 23 mile long run. Add in another 10 mile easy day and you're at 80 - 90. I think I'll stick to single runs for the foreseeable future, whenever I've run doubles I've always felt like I spend all my time running (and end up doing loads of short runs which in my opinion aren't as useful as regular 60+ min runs). I've been doing this for a few months so far and have enjoyed good (for me) results so far.
Totally manageable. Eventually, it'll be a easy transition to tack on 2-4 doubles and hit the kind of mileage necessary to marathon competitively at a high level. Stay healthy, friend!

I don't think he's saying that it is actually more work/physically stressful. Everyone knows 2 x Z miles is easier on you than 2Z miles. But I think he means that the second run feels like it is taking up more of your day. I mean, you would have to go before and after work, shower twice, use another set of workout gear, etc. At least for me, doubles seems more mentally taxing than a long single because at least once I finish the single, I'm just done as opposed to having to run again later.

Yes, you will be fine. Doubles are only important if they add up to more mileage compared to the single run.
