Rich people have plenty of problems; it’s just that nobody wants to hear them. People without money assume that money solves all problems, and it might solve their worst problems, but here is how it goes. A lot more money results in being able to pay your bills, do fun things and save for the future, but a lot more money means more people trying to get to you to get a piece of it- money managers, charities all want a cut, the church, your schools, etc. then there are people who bring you lousy investment ideas, want you to fund their startup, and some who want to sue you. Family members always seem to need a little help too. The problem shifts from not having enough money to trying to hang on to it and grow it. If things excite you, you will continue to want more stuff, bigger houses, etc. so that is a constant challenge until you realize it all just becomes more hassle and junk.
Also, once money is solved from your list of problems, your health and problems three and four move up the list. I certainly prefer more money to less, but it won’t fix all life’s problems. My advice is to find a way to be content on your current income, work like a dog to grow it, but don’t live as though that is the answer to all your problems. Peace of mind, good health and time for some fitness is tops IMO.
