8 weeks to Boston marathon :). Now the question of what to target.
Should I go for 2:39 or be happy with a 5 minute or of sub 2:45.
My last marathon was London. Just scraped under the 2:50. My training for that was basically p&d55 mile plan. Had 2 months off running before starting plan due to operation on knee. So 20 mins a day on a turbo was all I had.
Now this time I've been running 60 miles since late November. 3x20s 6:50 to 6:40 av pace. Lots of 11-12s at 6:25. 3x 16 miles done with 2x4 miles in them at 5:50 pace bringing the Ave pace to 6:18.
Only 1 race done on Jan 1th, a 5 mile in 27.02 with a nice hill on it. First and last mile were my fastest.
I've a 10k next week. If I go sub 34 should I aim for 2:40?
