I've been waiting 15 years to be able to say I know that guy on this site, but I know that guy. We went to HS together. He was a great dude. I'm glad he survived

In defense of the lion attacking it probably mistook him for a Mule Deer with those Rupp ears he's got going.
35lb mtn lion!!! hahaha
don’t think it could have killed the guy anyway
Soon they find out it was really a house cat.
I want to know if he'll be able to take it to a taxidermy for mounting. That would be an awesome decoration.
On the "Today" interview this morning, he didn't actually talk about killing the cat--the actual process of strangling it to death. Maybe they were worried about blowback from "animal lovers"?

Cougar killer (great boxing name) is listed as 5'10", the boxer in the link is 6'3"...so i don't think they're the same guy.
Totally different birthplace as well.
Other than that, would have been a interesting side note if true.
In the long interview videos he mentions that he doesn't have any interest in mounting it.

He says he has no fighting experience besides maybe his cousin when he was four years old

Yeah, a juvenile 35 lb. mountain lion. It was probably playing with him and he sadistically chose to kill it and cook up a story to get his 15 minutes.
Not really sure why letsrun.com needs and interview with him- he said it all in this video.

Look buddy. The department of wildlife said it was about 80lbs. Who the f cares if it was 70 or 85lbs. It’s still a crazy story. Get over yourself.
"A necropsy report said the lion that attacked Kauffman was male, four or five months old, weighing 35 to 40 pounds."
http://portfolio.jeffwendorff.com/img/s6/v150/p660503925-4.jpgI was questioning whether is was just a juvenile mountain lion that was getting overrated.
I don't expect an apology from letsrunners. Random, anonymous internet posters will attack anyone and try to tear them down.
I hope this proves that I'm legit and not a "troll" as I'm accused of being just for going against Democrats.

Violence doesn’t make one a hero. A real hero can deescalate a situation.
Plz share the TED talk about anger management tactics for predators in the wild so I can stream it when I’m attacked by bear.
That's from a different story in Idaho. Not this one
Look, I just wanna be prepared to deescalate large carnivores. Not sure if it’s gonna be a mountain lion, a wolverine, a bear, or an escaped tiger...
The video put the cat as "about 100lbs". It probably was 80lbs at minimum if it got it's jaws around his arm.
Arkansas woot!
40 pounds is like claws and teeth on a cattle dog. I still wouldn't mess with it.

Sounds like you have a personal problem if you are bringing this up in multiple threads as well as bringing in politics. And what do you want to do, send the guy out so he can wrestle down a 100 lb yearling lion? #dueohebagmaterial

You're right. For a prize we'll allow you 15 minutes with a juvenile kitty cougar the same size and see how you come out....if you come out.
