If every physician started working for free today, healthcare costs would fall by about 8%.
The whole system is broken. Doctors earn too much money and that's why med schools can get away with charging ridiculously high tuition.
The NYTimes had an article the other day how great healthcare is in Cuba - the average doctor there only makes $8k a year. And they have higher life expectancy than we do. Obviously that's not the solution either.
I am sure our physicians are hard working but can we afford to continue to compensate them as highly as we do?
In regards to medication cost: allow re-imports. Problem solved. But that will never happen.
LMAO, better tell that to the people that live there/have escaped Cuba. And as far as Cuba having a higher life expectancy. You have to be kidding me. It's a communist country, they lie about everything. Yet, there are useful idiots like you, that believe them and spread there propaganda for them.
