It's actually unclear whether he gave false information. Likely, he was attacked (if as a hoax) by the Nigerians. More likely he can be assessed with conspiracy (to defraud?) or something. But no one's going to jail of/c, and $25K is very cheap for the publicity he got. Being a victim is a wealthy trade nowadays.
TMZ/CNN confirming that is was an "attack" one way or another.
Don't see why the Nigerians needed to get paid per se, isn't this the kind of goodwill "attack" that good friends trade all the time?
One law enforcement source tells TMZ at least one of the brothers turned over his phone and there is a call between him and Jussie in the vicinity of the "attack," but before it happened.
CNN is reporting the brothers purchased what looks like the rope Jussie had around his neck at a Chicago Ace Hardware store. CNN is also citing law enforcement sources saying Jussie paid the brothers to orchestrate the phony assault.
