And the Obamas's motivation is because they live in Chicago and Smollett is black? As I said, they are smart people who are likely to be disgusted by Smollett's behavior.

In an interview with the Today show Thursday morning, Glandian blasted Chicago police, claiming that only minimal resources were devoted to handling Smollett's claims of being attacked by two racists, outside his tony downtown Chicago high rise, in the early morning hours of January 29th, even though at least a dozen detectives were assigned to Smollett's case at any given time during the investigation. From there, though, her allegations got stranger: Glandian suggested that the two brothers who allegedly carried out the attack may have been in "whiteface," which is why Smollett told police that he'd been attacked by two white, male, Donald Trump supporters.

“Well, you know, I mean, I think there’s — obviously, you can disguise that," Glandian said, referring to the brothers' race (both are black).

"You can put makeup on," she continued. "There is, interestingly enough, a video. You know, I think police had minimal investigation in this case, it took me only five minutes to Google. You know, I was looking up the brothers, and one of the videos that showed up actually was of the brothers in whiteface doing a joker monologue with white makeup on him. So, it’s not — it’s not implausible.”

You can, indeed, find a photo of one of the Osundairo brothers in "Joker" makeup, but it's not exactly convincing "whiteface" -- and certainly not convincing enough to report an attacker as "white" to police.

I'm sure the Obama's are very concerned about made up idle speculation from Old SMTC SOB, doper extraordinaire.

The context being: the lawyer lady doesn't want Smollett to have to testify against the nigerian bros in court under oath. So they are now saying (indeed 2mo later) that it was "no big deal" (after all, the Subway sandwich survived)

Jussie Smollett‘s lawyer offered a new theory as to why the actor was out on the streets of Chicago at 2:00 AM on the night of the alleged attack.

Tina Glandian sat down with Savannah Guthrie for an interview that aired this morning on “Today.” During the interview, Glandian explained that Smollett had been in contact with the Osundairo brothers about a training session for that night but his flight was delayed so they pushed it back a day.

Glandian claims the brothers told him to make sure he ate properly, specifically saying he should eat four eggs at breakfast. But she says Smollett told the brothers he didn’t have eggs, so he’d have to run out to get them.

According to Glandian, that’s how the brothers knew where he’d be.

In his infamous “Good Morning America” interview, Jussie Smollett said he went to Walgreens for food but it was closed so he went to Subway instead.

We ran into Tasha Smith -- aka, Carol Hardaway (Jussie's aunt on the show) -- leaving Chelsea Studios in NYC Thursday, where our camera guy pointed out that she was one of many "Empire" stars who yanked their initial supportive IG posts when Jussie was arrested.

Of course, the Cook County State's Attorney's Office decided to drop the charges altogether just this week.

Before our photog can get around to a question, Tasha jumps in to jokingly berate him, asking why in the hell he'd ask that about her "family" ... and turns the question on him.

It's a pretty hilarious back-and-forth here -- which ends with her telling us to kiss it where the sun don't shine. And, while Tasha and our guy made peace by the end of it ... she skated around a serious question, and seems to be pulling back from her initial pull-back.

However, the case in Chicago illustrates a point that must be discussed in an effort to ensure fairness in our criminal justice system: the rich are treated differently, the politically connected receive favorable treatment, and Lady Justice sometimes peeks under her blindfold to see who stands before her. NDAA rejects these inequities as they are antithetical to our founding principles of justice: that no one is above the law.
