Hey guys, current HS sophomore and one of my parents friends just called me a hobbyjogger (he doesn’t run at all). I don’t think he meant to be derogatory but it got me concerned. Am I a hobby jogger?
Training: 50-60mpw
Goals for track season: Sub 4:45. Sub: 10:15
Current PR’s:
1600: 4:57 (indoors off of pure aerobic training)
3200:10:39 (last track season)
XC 5k:17:24
Hilly Road 10k: 37:30
What do you think? What is the cutoff from hobby jogger to a “real” runner?
