Here's my week
M - am 3 mi easy + 5 mi bike
pm: 2 mi w/up, drills, strides, .5 mi tempo, 5x3:30 on @ CV (~6:10 in the weather I had ) , 2 min off then c/d to 10.5 mi
T - am: 3 mi easy + 5 mi bike
pm: 80 min easy, basically ran on a sheet of ice on a hilly route, so just went for time, but hit about 9 ish mi
W - am: 3 mi easy no bike
pm: same thing as Tuesday for 45 min/5 ish mi + 2 strides
Th - am: 3 mi easy + 5 mi bike
pm: 2 mi w/up, drills, strides, 5 mi Tempo @ 6:25 pace + 4x30 sec hard uphill + 10 sec Sprint downhill, c/d to 11 ish mi
F - am: 3 mi easy + 5 mi bike
pm: 45 min easy/6 ish mi + 4 strides
S- 15 mi @7:50 Long Run
Su - 2 mi easy + 2 strides
Pretty average week for me, although the Tempo and LR went very well, maybe a bit too hard on the Tempo, but I got flats (first time ever) and they psyched me up a bit too much, haha. Good week though.
First meet is in 2 weeks and I'm hoping for a sub 4:50/PR (low 4:48) in the 16 since I have had a great winter of training, but since it is a rust buster, even just sub 5 would be good news.
