I think Ethiopia is doing it clean. Draconian Government rules with strict controls on foreigners. Kenya is a free-for-all that allows everyone into the country. There’s such a thing as too much freedom.
Nice how you blame foreigners. Did they hold these athletes at gunpoint to inject them?
More likely a Russian style state-run system of in-house testing, doping and regulation of testing. I haven't heard whether they are even blood-tested yet. A cloud of secrecy is never a good thing in Athletics. Sounds just like Kenya a few years ago when everyone was giving them a pass because "Hey, they run to school every day!"
What’s your basis for that accusation against Ethiopia? They’ve had zero busts, just like the U.S., Britain and most of Western Europe. And if you believe that the sport in those countries is 100% clean because no one got caught, then I’ve got a bridge to sell you.
Your claims that Kenyan distance running is a sham because stricter controls are actually shown to be working, for once, is just plain stupid. Get this. There will be no decline in Kenyan performances ( actually running faster with three WRs within the last year) for the simple fact that Kenyans are just that much better than Americans and the rest of the world put together. That will not change and they won’t vanish like the Russians or Chinese. And runners that want to get better will continue looking to Kenya for inspiration. Countries desperate for athletic success such as Qatar, Bahrain, Turkey and the United States will continue to poach Kenyan talent even if to help improve their own standards. The Rift Valley will always be the point of reference for mid and distance running. If people truly believed it is all fake then it would become a pariah like Russia, and that won’t happen.
And, yes. I blame foreigners and think most should be asked to leave. Before the invasion Kenyans didn’t even care for supplements. Wish Kenya would borrow a leaf from Ethiopia strictly controlling who they allow in and and ban whoever so much as sets a foot wrong. Kenya is a victim of its openness which is why Letrunners like rant and pretend to be experts on what’s going on all the way from their basements in flyover America.
