Katie was dating another UW runner that was a real piece of work. I heard that he mentally did a number on her.
I think the rumor was that he got dismissed from Penn State for multiple things, namely drinking and continuing to try to work with his HS coach and do his HS coach's training. He went to Eastern Oregon University, and I heard that he was doing a lot of the same stuff to the point that the Eastern Oregon coach really didn't care if came back or not/felt the team might be better without him.
Any time TL speaks I have to mute it, ughh..
Think of all the great girls teams from Saratoga and FM.... What did any of them other than Chimel do in college?
Solid post.
Nicole Blood had a decent career at Oregon and went pro for a couple of years.
There are honestly so many kids who for whatever reason don't pan out.
The top kids in the state I competed in during high school were footlocker finalists--I think we had 4 in total in the four years I was there. None of them did anything in college. One of them had won a national title in track in high school, but in college he had disappeared.
On the upside there was a kid a couple of years below me who later qualified for footlocker and became an Olympian.
Me.
Also, I feel like if you just scour the footlocker results for any year you'll find at least 30 names per boys race/girls race you don't recognize just sayin
Biggest bust ever is probably Moore he was tabbed as the future of the 400m dash of the late 90's early 2000's. It never happened to injuries and personal life troubles.
Never mind
Emma Wilson from Indiana, she had some great times in high school, went to U of Illinois, then Huntington, then showed up on UIndy roster last year and never raced and no where this year.
zofia dudek, katelynne hart
Um…grace ping?
Katelynne got 41st place here
Speaking of Indian HS stars, whatever happened to Austin Mudd?
*Indiana
Since Hart is from Illinois & Dudek is from Michigan and both have ties to the state of Michigan, you seem as if you’re from somewhere in the upper Midwest and are a bitter hater. I’ll play, though.
Dudek has had well-documented injuries that have plagued her collegiate career, unfortunately. She’s a huge talent and I would love to see her get back on track. She still has time to get there. If not, she is getting an education at one of the best educational institutions in the world. She will do fine in life and that is all that really matters.
Hart was one of the best high schoolers to ever come out of the state of Illinois and during her high school years she was one of the best in the country. Perhaps her performances aren’t meeting the expectations put on her by many people, but she’s doing fine and has been a reliable performer for Michigan. She still has at least one more season of XC eligibility after this one and a few seasons of track eligibility. And, as with Dudek, she is getting an education from a world class college. She will also do fine in life.
Here is Hart’s collegiate resume. Many would like to have this.
