I really didn't think she'd win this race and she absolutely looked like a boss. Just destroyed Huddle that final quarter mile.

I think she could win everything on the track 1500 to 10,000. Give her a month of steepling and she beats Coburn.
Wish there were video of it :(

Ditto
I don’t know if I have ever seen a US runner who kicks like Houlihan... she just makes the other competitors look like they are standing still. I love her attitude too. She sounds hell bent on crushing at the world level and has me believing that something insane like 14:1x could be in her future.
She just seems a bit suspicious.
fuuck you buddy

Everyone's kick is a combination of one's 200m speed, what one has left, training and mentality. At W.C., someone will race hard from last 1200m to last 200m. We'll see.

I wouldn't expect anything less from the Bowerman fillies.

A classic miler v. marathoner duel over the dirt. Typically the marathoner would win in this scenario.
I want to see houlihan vs ajee in the 800.

On the road anything from 1 mile to HM should be an easy win for her as well.
She seems perfect for the sub- 2:00/4:00/15:00 club. I'm only certain of Slaney and Rowbury for that one. It's a toughie, even Jenny MF Simpson hasn't made it.

Since Houlihan is not going to train as an 800m runner or an 800/1500 runner, Houlihan will not set new PR's in 800m. Slaney? Is that Mary Decker? No sub-15 for Decker. I know Decker moved up in distance as she got older, Decker was a classic 800/1500 runner.
