I just started to run about a month ago, but started to do it daily this week. I am aiming at one interval session ( in weeks before I did fartlek), one tempo session and a long run.
I am feeling more and more comfortable with running every day, and I generally feel much better. Today I did 7 miles in the morning, and already I'm contemplating about some easy running in the evening. Last week I did 20 miles, and this week I could end up with 25-30.
So, while I feel awesome and progressing very well, there is still one problem. Namely, I can't run a long run of more than two hours. I managed to run at most hour and a half, and this week I barely did over hour when I tried to do a long run.
Should I count this as a long run even if I didn't do it for desired time? I mean, my effort was probably greater than when somebody in shape finishes the long run. Should I just run the duration which feels easy to me for the rest of the week, or should I again try to do a long run again?
