No, I've never posted here before.
Ooops, I mean I've never seen him post on here in any verifiable way.
I think he posts under the name "Jamin" here.

obvious troll -- "verifiable" is not a word Rupp is capable of understanding
Why wouldn't I post on here? It's thanks to you morans I have an Olympic Silver AND Olympic Bronze Medal, a win at Chicago Marathon and 26:44 10k PR.
Keep hating losers.
I often wonder to myself if Alberto Salazar is on here trolling us and spreading misinformation for psyops reasons.
I’m here...but I wish I was getting a special massage by Al right about now.
Unfortunately, most of the elite distance runners avoid this site like the plague. The already know the media links aggregated on the home page, and they have no time/interest the message boards. The only exception is that the Brojos get some good interviews.
Letsrun isn't Rupp-Certified.

You sure? I guess that's why they randomly pop in on threads like this one.

I like Phoebe but it's not like it used to be. Have a look at this

Sub-elites troll here.
Real elites lurk, browse quickly, and then go on to do their training. They don't have that much time to sit in front of the computer trolling on message boards because they have 120-mile weeks to get in.

nope if there was a survey of letsruuners and their times you would be surprised how slow the average letsrunner is
Who knows.
If I were a pro (or even sub-elite almost pro), I'd never, ever come to the message boards. I might come to Letsrun to look at results, but I'd stay far clear of the message boards. There's no upside to even reading the boards.
Galen Rupp, arguably the greatest american distance runners ever, does not have time to refute this forum's nonsense. He devotes his time to training and his family. Since everybody can anonymously post here, there is too much crap and hate. Some random wisdom:

After Rupp ran 26:48 (before his 26:44 AR):
This is NOT a big breakthrough effort. Solinsky could have run this fast last year. Having said that, way to go Galen Rupp. You will never run faster than today, but so what? You made the fanboys happy...
I am clearly correct as usual. However, Galen Rupp is one helluva runner. Of course he'll never medal. So what? Let's appreciate him for what he is. I believe Galen Rupp is capable of running the U.S. record for the marathon. There...I said it. However, he will NEVER medal in WC or Olympic track
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=5254571
Irrespective of his "silver" medal in the olympics, he is simply not silver medal material. It was one of the slowest all time 10k olympic final in a year in lacking the best talent. Don't get me wrong, Rupp is a great talent. He is right up there with the best current US distance runners, if not the best. But he is simply not World Championship/ Olympic medal material. He won't ever duplicate his accomplishments. Eventually he will make his mark in the marathon but that will be more like Hall's record - great showing, no wins to show for it.
http://www.letsrun.com/forum/flat_read.php?thread=2889111
Galen Rupp does not have the guts to win a race. Once again, he wilts under pressure and seddles for second.

Galen Rupp: Waste of a career
Galen is probably the most talented US distance runner around right now. Unfortunately, he has never shown that he will be able to sprint well at the end of a 10k and will therefore likely never medal, much less win, in a major championship race. If he upped to the marathon now, he might actually be able to maximize his potential in that distance and win a major race, but at this rate, by the time he starts marathoning, he'll be too old to ever reach his full potential. I understand that Salazar is thinking long term, but at some point, he's got to realize that no matter how fast Galen runs, he will still get absolutely smoked in the last lap of a 10k. The marathon is his only chance to really claim absolute glory, but he's not getting any younger and that chance will be gone soon.

LOL.
They definitely have the time. Working 9-5 plus running (plus family and other interests) is a much busier life than any pro runner has.
Great post, Al:
