..and that is why Bill Belicheck is the greatest coach in NFL history. An absolute defensive masterpiece put on tonight by his Patriots. Remember, Belicheck came from being an amazing defensive coordinator with the NY Giants in the late 80s and early 90s. (And won 2 SB titles with them as the d-coordinator)
I am not a Patriots fan at all (Go Giants) but I simply applaud their success the last 15 years....especially in a league that tries its hardest to create parody amongst it teams.
It's parity, not parody. Although, actually, tonight it may have been parody.
Unreal, never gets old.
What else can you say, best owner ever, best coach ever and most likely the player (in Brady) in American pro sports.
Trump wins again.

Wow, a convicted drug cheat wins the Super Bowl MVP in the same season he serves a suspension. Really? Do you think he was still benefitting from the PED's?
Ah. come on, do you think there was a single player on the field that has t used PEDs? Look how quickly and ruthlessly the NFL and their PR machine sniffed Peyton Manning getting caught. And honestly, who cares? Open it up and let athletes do what they want

He got caught and served his suspension. I don't really see what you're complaining about?

Everyone seems to be picking the Pats and by double-digit margins. Are they that much better?
Well,I guess they knew what they were talking about.
It's getting harder and harder to compare greatness over the decades. There is no doubt that Brady, Brees, Rogers, et al are benefiting from the kid glove approach to roughing the passer calls, skewing statistics and lengthening their careers.
That's not to say that the rule changes aren't for the best. I think eliminating the Ronnie Lott type safety delivering concussion after concussion is a good thing. By eliminating helmet to helmet, defenseless players, and kickoffs the NFL has effectively brought concussion way down. I'd like to see some data on average life expectancy of NFL players because the 70's and beyond were drenched in steroid and CTE. Hopefully that's under the microscope as well.
Sure the Super Bowl ended up being an old school defensive battle but the Conference Championships were as entertaining as any games I've ever seen. In a way, football is moving in the same direction the NBA moved decades ago with the implementation of the shot clock, 3 point arch, flagrant 1,2,3...fouls, etc. Not the same game but certainly entertaining.
I'm going with the Rams by 6.
