^This. All due to the horrendous leadership of Trump. His administration will go down as among the most corrupt in History—which includes(and is limited to) Grant, Harding, and Nixon—EVERYONE agrees.
Yeah right. Where are the empirical facts to support that the US is the most corrupt?
Every hierarchy in every domain has a tendency towards corruption. The US democratic system isn't perfect by any means, but it is the best we got to solve very complex issues with society, power, and justice.
Only assuming you live in the US or any democratic state for that matter: Its outstanding to me that the people who live in this country are so vapid that they believe the world around them is somehow better than what they already have. You have the best the world has to offer for gods sake. Visit San Pedro Sula or the streets of Baghdad and let me know how that presupposition holds.
United States has its own subset of problems, of course. We recognize that because we live in it. But Jesus Christ, living in Flint or hearing whatever "corruption" the Donald " has done" (Where are the facts?) doesn't even compare. The poorest people in the US are still wealthier than a large percent of the world. It is precisely because we have a system that works and is not inherently corrupt. For christ sake if it was so corrupt as you ignorant brats proclaim it to be you wouldn't even be allowed to type the vomit that comes out of your keystrokes.
I'm not saying its perfect. But it is a pretty damn good system. Abstract the good from that and realize there are places that don't have that at all and you are subject to the corruption around it. Be it if were a Soviet, or a 6 year old boy rock mining diamonds in Sierra Leone.
