What's his 5k PB?
Looks like approximately 20:20, but that’s just brief look through Athlinks. Not exactly a speed demon, but he is only 17 running mostly marathons. He’ll grow up to be Dean Karnazes.
His parents are obviously doing well (financially ).
this may also be the slowest person to have run 100 marathons
Normally the excessively young [
Probably also the youngest Marathon runner who will retire from the sport soon.
What is his PR anyway?

Give him a break, he's a Fatt Mann.
Just browsed Athlinks. He apparently ran his first one when he was 11 -- and with a time of 4h3m, did a lot better than he is doing in most of them these days.
I don't understand the point of this. Waste of time, energy, and money, IMNSHO. And risking his future ability to actually RUN.

Quick Google search. 10k result for a 50 minute 10k. Like come on.

Mass participation has hurt the sport, in my mind. It’s made a lot of people a lot of money. I have to be careful what I say because I get called out on it sometimes, but I don’t believe that starting and finishing a marathon makes you a marathoner. I don’t believe that. If you’re racing it to go as fast as you can, that’s completely different than being part of an event and just wanting to get from point A to point B.

Better this kid does this then smokes weed and lays around like a bunch of kids do these days. I had a similar background to this kid in the sport- introduced by dad, lots of long distance races when young....although I ended up much, much, much faster......—- but even sill, this kind of accomplishment is still pretty impressive compared to how miserable most people are in their lives.

Yeah, I ran marathons as a youngster. Now I smoke weed and lay around a lot.
He's not even jogging. He's going at a subjog pace. Just to run as many races as he can, but they aren't races. And his so proud Dad was crying with the emotion of it all. Those two weirdos deserve each other.

Hopefully he is done doing marathons and actually do something impressive, like actually run.

Perhaps you meant THAN smokes weed? Kind of changes the meaning just a tad, don’t you think?
Can you please stop putting these strange and irrelevant anime gifs in every thread?
Also, at the end of the interview the reporter says his next goal is complete a "hundred mile marathon." Classic.
School children in Africa have completed thousands of marathons by the time they are 17.

How much can he bench?
Hard to tell from the video of warming up, but I think he could run a lot faster than 20:00 for a 5K. His warmup shuffle stride isnt bad and he’s lean.

But he didn't race any marathons or half marathons, he just ran them as slow as he could just to bump up the numbers of events he has entered. His Dad drives him all over to these events just so he can slow jog another one each weekend, just so he can claim this ridiculous record.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
