Long time reader, first time poster. I checked through the forums a bunch and couldn't find a ton of helpful info on people have dealt with runner's knee (assuming that is what I had). I am gearing up to run an April marathon and run ~45-55 miles per week and have been dealing with lingering knee tightness / discomfort for the last few months. Basically my patellar tendon feels tight later in the day, and occasionally on longer slow runs / recovery days I will feel some pain in and around the knee cap. On my workout days / long runs with tempo blocks I usually don't feel any pain, but sometimes it feels a bit rundown in the days following. Just this past weekend I ran a half marathon and pushed it for me (~82 mins) on a very hilly course, and I am feeling a lot of crepitus / clicking in my knee the last two days and just generally doesn't feel 100% (although the symptoms have subsided significantly since the morning after the race). Curious if anyone has dealt with this? I am starting a more rigorous PT program, so hopefully that will help, but curious if anyone has any specific suggestions on exercises they've done to combat this? Very frustrating! thanks
