south jersey still is home to one of the largest natural water reserves in the U.S., right? the Pine Barrens? I miss lacey twp - had a bungalow on a lake - probably the quietest place I ever lived. It's actually pathetic how there's so many bashers, i bet the only reason they're here whining is because they must've visited new jersey and are mad because the locals didnt suck their dicks for visiting

New jersey is shitty in some places, and beautiful in others (montclaire and such)

It's produced some good actors - Bruce willis, john travolta, jon bon jovi - even shaq and frank sinatra (these are the only ones who i decided to include)

New jersey is expensive but the locals have a sort of connection and feeling they develope - social traits

My guess is the people who hate NJ are either entirely ignorant and retarded, because apparently by their logic NJ sucks because it has Newark and such, which would mean every other state that has one shitty location *ahem compton in California* sucks

My conclusion is the only reason you could possibly say NJ is shit, is because of the price (why would you bitch about that) or the locals not sucking your dick (go to canada for that)

I live here and NJ does suck

Sopranos the tv show does not represent all of NJ just as the gay guy in Sex and the City does not represent all men in NY and all of the southern idiots on TV like Jessica Simpson do not represent people living in that region of the country.. though I would not be surprised. There are other shows set in NJ like House where the people are totally unrelated to the people on Sopranos. But no one will bring that up... right?

And FYI - the highest records of STDs fall in Louisiana, Alaska, and Mississippi. NJ is not in the top ten for any of the different STDs... so how are them guys down the south?? Maybe you should all get checked........ no one likes a herpe.

I left NJ in 2005. One thing that is absolutely certain is that people from New Jersey are in denial and don't want to admit they live in a corrupt broken state. They don't want to leave because they don't want to pay the 'Exit Tax' which is much better for the rest of the country. They were actually led to believe that some panel of residents voted this tax in. Ask someone you know in New Jersey if they would like to give the state 1% of their homes value when they sell it and move out and see what they say. They will defend their state by talking about high incomes, the shore, the proximity to Manhattan and Philadelphia, and the casinos. The fact is, it has obscenely high property taxes. One of the most corrupt political and law enforcement systems in the country. Just the other day I read about 7 state troopers that raped a college student and faced no consequences. Most likely the state offered her a settlement and a gag order. The citizens pay for the crimes committed by police. That is part of the reason the taxes are so high and also why the police are free to rape and murder the citizens... they suffer no real consequences. 9 billion in revenue from the NJ Turnpike and over 9 billion in revenue from the GS Parkway and it is still a ridiculous tax state. Hogan and Kenna (NJ State Troopers) shot students that were guilty of driving and were acquitted, again taxes were raised to pay for the settlement. It goes on and on and on...

It has the highest incidence of cancer in the nation. There are thousands of miserable unfriendly people that have hatred running through their veins there. I actually encourage people to stay in New Jersey. I would like to keep all the corruption and hate in one concentrated area rather than have the disenchanted and corrupt spread out to other parts of the country and kill human decency. But yeah, if you are out, don't ever go back. If you are thinking about moving there I just can't articulate what a bad idea that is. It is a horrible place and I don't even drive through it anymore. Part of my job in soil analysis made me leave the state very fast... Without getting into too much heady detail I'll put it this way, "New Jersey is a Toxic State."

I have lived here all my life and Jersey does suck.The roads are the worst!Even The toll plazas have pot holes.Then they got the balls to charge you for driving on their decrepid roads.How about 103 tax hikes in 7 years.Don't forget armpit Atlantic City which they never even paved the roads there.Every time i leave A.C. i have to spring for a new suspension system for my car.There's the casinos,race tracks,the sports complex,lottery,toll roads, Port Authority tolls and 7% sales tax.Where does all this money go?We're the only state to close it's government for 3 days because the retards in Trenton could not balance the budget a few years back.How about the gay governor McGreevey that you goofies elected.I know he can touch his toes.I live in a ranch house with no garage and pay $3300 a year in property taxes.That's a 42" Sony HDTV every 3 months ($850)for the privilege of living in my township.Ever go to beach?What a joke!They charge extra when the needles and fetuses wash up to shore.Take a look at the beach sign the next time you go.They don't want you to do anything but sit there like a mummy.They charge the poor college kids $15 on weekends in Belmar and $7.00 for french fries.Whoa,must be some potato.Don't forget the insurance surcharge when you have a traffic violation because you'll being paying for that for 3 years.The people who think this state is great must have never visited another state or were born in the land of OZ.I think the state sprays goofy gas at night.Snap out of it people.
