According to the website, men run the first 5k in 14:30 (61:11 pace).
Fairly slow considering some of the guys' PRs up front. Around 11 guys in the lead pack.
It was 33 degrees Fahrenheit at the start, wind of 11mph.

He was just shown as bib #39 in a pack behind Puksedra.

Ah that explains it.
Karoki was leading but he kept looking around as if he wanted someone else to take the pace. Now that Geoffrey Koech has gone to the front, Karoki looks to be struggling a bit as he's at the very back of the lead pack.

Still too early in the race. Let's not forget he ran 13:34 in the middle of a 50-miler
Shitty coverage as per usual
Walmsley is in the chase pack on 1:04:00 pace... he is working hard, checking his watch, but long way to go.
Surprised to see Zienasellassie, Futsum
Inordinate amount of men seen in the women's feed wearing bicycle type shorts, and a few with compression socks. What is that all about, none of the elites dress this way.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
