You are practically talking about extending your 10k pace to the marathon. Not saying it isn't worth a try, but if there is a coach that can do that for an already well trained athlete, that service is worth well more than $10,000.

You have to get a lot faster over 10k if you want to run a 2:15 Marathon ever.

First you need to obtain an Adidas Track suit and some superstars. Go to your local track once weekly. Perform basic stretching exercises. Run one mile around the track. Then do 100 jumping jacks and 100 pushups. Then go eat some pizza and go home. You can also eat pizza while at home, up to you.

You PRs are no where near the performance level of a 2:15 marathon. In fact, your 10K is about the same pace. If having big, probably unattainable goals, gets you out the door to run then have at. I would rather train and see what happens. There is no magic training method so do some research and pick something that appeals to you.

HAHAHA! Who is the very best coach on singles? I am! No problem to do it if you have the talent necessary. How fast at 200m/ 400m all out?

2:15 isn't gonna happen without insane mileage (150+) or doping. Your 3k PR is pretty good, and you can probably get down under 2:30 if you work, but 2:15 takes some serious talent that just isn't there. If you want single sessions though, it's honestly pretty simple, you just have to do 75 minute easy runs four times a week, a 2:00-2:30 long run every Sunday, and two workout sessions mostly consisting of long intervals at anywhere from cruise interval up to marathon pace. This should get you anywhere from 85-100 mpw, depending on how fast you run and which workouts you're doing. Obviously you'd build up to this amount, but that kind of training could probably get you down under 2:30, which is a much more reasonable goal. FWIW, I know a guy who ran 8:17 a few years ago who just broke 2:30, so even that is a tough goal.

I myself ran 1500 at 3:58 3000 at 8:20 5000 at 14:20 10000 at 29:51 and marathon without specific long run at 2:22 . I will take you to the goal 2:15 if you are serious. We can have a thread here if the Brojos allow us too or you pay a monthly fee to reach 2:15. Cheers! :)
