I do associate them with the lower-class. I do not have them myself.

I do associate incorrect interpunctation with lower class.

Agreed, but I wonder if you took one of the u’s out of ‘interpunctuation’ so that you could tattoo it somewhere on your body.
Well, didja?

I do so associate them, and also I do have them myself. I wish I had not had myself tattooed. And it is strange, because I myself am not among the lower class, or at least not financially or professionally. Still it is the main thing of which I am ashamed with regards my appearance and my life choices. It is not even that my tattoos are badly done or cheap or stupid. I am simply embarrassed because they are there.
Of course it would be much worse if I were a female. A beautiful girl with tattoos is just a tragedy.
Find them tacky
yes, right there along with bad fashion, poor hygiene and crass language.

Yes! Tattoos, logoed clothing, menthol cigarettes, vape machines, energy drinks. Also, people who use scented air fresheners in their home or automobile.
I don't have any tattoos. Nor the other stuff listed above.
Can the OP clarify what they mean by "lower-class people?" It may seem like a pedantic question, as probably everyone gets an automatic image pop into their head when they read the label, but I doubt we all see the same thing as the OP or each other.
In my experience, tattoos seem a little more common among people living around the fringes or society. I would likely be inclined to expect relatively higher frequencies of drug use and crime, although my expectation would vary significantly depending on the nature of the tattoo(s). Neck or face tattoos and hand tattoos scream gang banger to me, unless they're clearly associated with a specific tribal background. Rough-scrawled prison tattoos say "ex-con." Tramp stamps whisper "tramp." Discreet, well done, artistic tattoos, especially smaller, more finely drawn ones, require closer inspection to support an opinion.
Of course all my prejudicial opinions stated above may be in error a lot or even most of the time, but that's where my mind goes.
I have a tattoo on my forearm. I got it to remember a loved on who passed too soon. I don't frankly care what anybody else thinks about it; it's there for me to look at and help me remember.
clarify please...? wrote:

Were you really going to forget your loved one that easily without a tattoo?

A wise person told me, there's no such thing as stupid questions, only stupid people.
Tell you what, lose a spouse or child, and come back and ask me again.

Nope, sure don’t consider them lower class. In fact, I actual tend to judge non-tatted sheeple more harshly.
You see, a tattoo makes a person automatically edgy, Unique—they stand out from the crowd. Non-tatted folks are BORING and just conforming to societies norms.
So, for me when I see a non-tatted person, I think, “YAAAWWWWNNN, what a sheep mindless wandering through life without much going on upstairs.” When I see a tatted person, I think, “Wow, what an interesting person. I bet they have a lot to offer. I should get to know them.”
Also, it’s a scientific fact that 93.78% of non-tatted people have IQs below 70.
yes
What I find interesting about this is it is a choice that cannot be easily reversed. To return to mainstream society hippies just had to cut their hair, punks had to grow out their purple mohawks and people with multiple piercings just had to remove them. Getting rid of tattoos is a whole other ball game.
Some of us will make money from it.
Why no I don't automatically associate them with the lower class. You just sound like a judgmental prick.
Yes. Also, vaping, cussing, spitting, blasting crap music on the train, and owning a pit bull. I don't consider people who roll and smoke their own cigarettes to be trashy, though.

No, just band-wagon enthusiasts who can't think for themselves.

Everyone loses people close to them. It's the way things work.
Sorry for your loss.
Its not that I associate them with low class people, I view people with tattoos as low class. They could be very wealthy but if they are full of tattoos, they are low class. Tattoos are the ultimate in selfishness. Spend tens of thousands of dollars to mark up your body instead of thinking about the needy.

Yeah Lebron James is lower class because he has so many tattoos.
